Mineola School District Forms Partnership With Northwell Health

MINEOLA, NY — Mineola Public Schools announced it has partnered with Northwell Health to help support the mental health needs of its students.

This new initiative between Cohen Children's Medical Center and the district provides a team that works closely with school counselors, psychologists, and social workers to assist students, according to a press release. Students will have access to a behavioral health center, where they can get evaluated, treated, and connected to care within the community or at a hospital. Community and professional education on mental health services will also be provided through the partnership.
