'Journeys' Brings Teen Style To Cross County Center With Attitude

The retailer with its finger on the pulse of a notoriously fickle demographic has a new outpost in the former Kids Footlocker space.

YONKERS, NY — Finding your own personal style is no simple task and it's even harder if your peers are teenagers, but a new shop in town plans to make it feel easy.

The Cross County Center announced that its newest retailer, Journeys, opened a new 2,500 sq. ft. store on Friday, by Old Navy in the former Kids Footlocker space.

"We are thrilled to welcome Journeys to Cross County Center during our popular Summer Fest celebration," Carl Calabro, Senior Manager of Property Management at Cross County Center, said. "We look forward to our customers enjoying this new shopping destination that reinforces our commitment to bringing the most current and fresh concepts to our customers in Westchester."

Journeys is known as a unique teen retail leader with an emphasis on footwear and specialty items such as apparel, backpacks, hats and accessories. Kids and infant sizes are also available. The company has more than 840 stores in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and Canada. Journeys sells the most popular teen brands today, such as Vans, Converse, adidas, Timberland, Dr. Martens, UGG and many more. The company also has artistic partnerships and collaborations with musicians, along with a focus on giving back to the community through charitable events and volunteer programs.
