The casino in Yonkers said it is once again celebrating acceptance and love with the rainbow lighting of the porte cochere.

YONKERS, NY — The Empire City Casino is once again wearing its pride on its sleeve, or more accurately on its iconic lighted porte cochere.
Empire City Casino by MGM Resorts announced that they have once again put their pride on full display by lighting their signature porte cochere in rainbow colors each night during the month of June for Pride Month. The company says that this initiative celebrates love, acceptance, and inclusivity, while recognizing the countless contributions by the LGBTQ+ community to date, and also putting a spotlight on the work that still needs to be done.
MGM Resorts, which acquired Empire City Casino in 2019, was the first company in the gaming and hospitality industry to offer their employees same-sex health benefits back in 2004. MGM Resorts has also been named one of the nation’s "Best Places to Work for LGBTQ+ Equality" by the Human Rights Campaign.
