Mount Vernon Flag Raising Will Honor 9-11 Heroes And Victims

MOUNT VERNON, NY — All around the Hudson Valley, people will be taking the opportunity Monday to remember the tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001. Flags on state government buildings will be flown at half-staff on Sept. 11 in remembrance of the nearly 3,000 men, women and children who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks.
The City of Mount Vernon will mark the anniversary with the 22nd Annual 9/11 Memorial Raising of the Flag Service on Monday, September 11, 2023, at 2 p.m., at City Hall Plaza.
