YONKERS, NY — A Westchester County player won a $5,000,000 scratch-off lottery prize, but he will be taking home slightly more than half of that amount.
Raymond Yancey of Yonkers has claimed a $5,000,000 top prize in the New York Lottery's Cash Royale scratch-off game. He purchased the winning ticket at the Shoprite located on Mamaroneck Ave. in White Plains.
Yancey opted to receive 20 annuitized payments of $158,186 each, after required withholdings.

New York’s scratch-off games generated $4,406,338,198 in total sales during fiscal year 2022-2023, according to the lottery. School districts in Westchester County were big winners as well, receiving $154,983,517 in Lottery Aid to Education funds during that same period.
