1 Killed, Another Injured In Stabbing At NYC Apartment

A 40-year-old woman was found with multiple stab wounds in the body.

NEW YORK CITY — A 57-year-old woman was fatally stabbed, and another woman was left injured following an apparent domestic incident inside a New York City apartment Sunday morning, police said.

The incident happened around 7 a.m. inside a building near Park Avenue and East 161st Street in the Bronx.

The 40-year-old woman was found with multiple stab wounds in the body. Her mother, identified as, Rosemary Tapia-Bautista, sustained stab wounds to the chest.

The 57-year-old victim was transported to Lincoln Hospital, where she later pronounced dead.

The other woman was taken to the same hospital and is receiving treatment for her injuries.

The 40-year-old ex-boyfriend is reportedly being sought by police following the stabbing.

No arrest have been made as of Monday morning.

An investigation remains ongoing.
