According to police, the three men apparently flashed gang signs to the victim and the other teen before the stabbing.

The victims are believed to be members of a Venezuelan migrant gang based out of New York City-run hotels around 42nd Street, according to multiple media reports.

The suspects are thought to be migrant gang members from the Caribbean community, police said at the time.

One more suspect is still being sought for the killing.
