35 Injured After Yacht Hits Dock In NYC Waters
A 200-foot party boat with 400 people on board crashed into a pylon while trying to dock near Riverside Park, U.S. Coast Guard said.

NEW YORK CITY — Dozens of people were injured after a yacht crashed into a dock in the Hudson River on Saturday afternoon, a public information officer with the New York Police Department told Patch.
Thirty-five people were treated for minor injuries at local hospitals.

Thirteen were brought to RMA of New York, while 11 were treated at St. Luke’s Hospital and 11 at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem, a spokesperson for the Fire Department of New York told Patch.
Officers responded to a 911 call for a water rescue at West 125th Street and Henry Hudson Highway just before 4:30 p.m., NYPD said.

The yacht, party boat, collided with the pylon near Riverside Park while trying to dock, a public affairs officer with the U.S. Coast Guard told Patch.

There were about 400 passengers and eight crew members on the 200-foot yacht, which is named “Timeless," when it hit the dock, USCG said.
The four-level luxury cruise has a maximum capacity of 550 passengers and a minimum capacity of 150, and can seat up to 300 people, according to NYPartyCruise.com. It has three indoor decks and four outdoor decks.
FDNY crews and EMTs were at the scene until just after 7 p.m.
The ongoing investigation will be conducted by the Coast Guard, police said.
