NEW YORK, NY — The collective screech of millions of flash-flood alerts hitting smartphone screens across the city Monday gave way, within minutes, to the epic growls and wooshes of the first great flood of summer 2016.
And, like good little historians, the humans of New York — dwarfed and awed by nature's tantrum — held up said smartphones and hit record.
