  1. President Biden and Mayor Adams vowed to break the 'Iron Pipeline' of guns into New York City. Biden pledged to lead a nationwide crackdown on 'ghost guns' that don't have a buyer attached to them, and said he was directing funding for community policing to major cities including NYC.   2. NYC schools are going 'vegan' on Fridays now, according to a DOE announcement. Plant-based food options are supported by vegan Mayor Adams, who credits his diet for recovering from bad health in the past. (New York City Patch)
  3. Mayor Adams was seen dining out with former Governor Andrew Cuomo who resigned amid a sexual harassment scandal earlier last year. Adams defended their meeting, saying he wants to leave 'no stone unturned' in working collaboratively to solve the city's problems. (New York City Patch)
  4. The world's largest gold cube, valued at over $11 million, was on display in Central Park on Wednesday. The cube, which is meant to promote a new cryptocurrency, was only on display for one day. (New York City Patch)
  5. Former Mayor Bill de Blasio is considering a run for Congress, in the newly drawn 11th congressional district, which includes Park Slope as well as all of Staten Island. The news, which started out as a joke, was confirmed by sources close to the former mayor. An insider with the Democratic Party said their leadership is not pleased by the prospects of a De Blasio run. (New York City Patch)
