Another two patients were being tested Sunday, health officials said.

NEW YORK CITY — Another two suspected cases of coronavirus in New York City were sent for testing Sunday, meaning three patients are now in isolation in the city pending results.

The first possible case in the city was announced Saturday.

The city's Department of Health said Sunday that two patients — one in Flushing Hospital Medical Center and the second in New York-Presbyterian Queens — were in stable condition.

The two new cases involve people over 60 years old who have both traveled to China recently and have symptoms including a cough and fever, the officials said.

The first is under 40 and also has a history of traveling to China, officials said.

There have now been eight confirmed cases of coronavirus in the U.S.

Of 120 specimens sent for testing in the country as of Sunday, only six have come back positive, the health officials said.
