Crew Steal $1 Million Worth Of Jewelry, Other Valuables From NYC Home

NEW YORK CITY — Police are searching for five suspects who broke into a New York City home last week, bound two women with tape and stole over $1 million in purses and jewelry, police announced.

The NYPD released surveillance images of the suspects on Wednesday.

The incident happened inside a home at Mayfair Road and 116th Street in Kew Gardens around 7:30 p.m. on March 19, police said.

Two women ages 53 and 36 were inside the home when the suspects barged in and proceeded to tie them up.

The five individuals stole jewelry, purses, clothing and other items valued over $1.1 million, police said.

The five thieves fled the scene with a sixth individual in a white 2021 Toyota RAV4, police said.

The two women were not injured in the incident, police said.
