Delta Plane Wing Strikes LaGuardia Airport Runway During Landing

NEW YORK CITY — A wing from a Delta plane struck the runway at LaGuardia Airport on Sunday night as it was landing, according to Federal Aviation Administration officials and reports.
The FAA disclosed that Endeavor Air Flight 4814’s left wing struck the runway around 10:10 p.m.
The plane's pilot was attempting a go-around due to an "unstable approach" when the incident occurred, according to an ABC News report.

Flight 4814 was arriving from Jacksonville, Fla., according to Delta.
“The Endeavor Air flight crew followed established procedures to safely enact a go-around at New York-LaGuardia,” Delta said in a statement to ABC7. “The aircraft landed safely and proceeded to its arrival gate. We apologize to our customers for the experience.”

There were no injuries reported from the incident, according to Port Authority.
The Delta plane remained on the ground at LaGuardia Airport on Monday, according to the report.
