Ivanka Trump Ordered To Testify In Father's NYC Fraud Trial

A judge said Ivanka Trump, who was dismissed from the case, can't be called as a witness before November to give her time to appeal.

The ruling by Judge Arthur Engoron Friday thrusts Trump back into the case against Donald Trump and his business from which she was dismissed months ago.

But the judge said Ivanka Trump still had ties to New York businesses.

“Ms. Trump has clearly availed herself of the privilege of doing business in New York,” Engoron said.

Engoron said Ivanka Trump's testimony should not come before Nov. 1, in order to give her time to appeal.

The prospect of Ivanka Trump on the witness stand adds another wrinkle to the case, which already saw Donald Trump testifying this week before being fined $10,000 for violating a gag order against speaking about court staff.
