LIVE: Watch the Corpse Flower Bloom for Just 24 to 36 Hours

The world's smelliest flower is blooming at the New York Botanic Garden right now, and there's a livestream of it.

New York is always smelly, but this weekend it will be a special kind of smelly. The Amorphophallus titanium, or what people like to call the corpse flower, is blooming Thursday night through around Friday Night to Saturday afternoon, and there's an official livestream of the blooming process.

It's been a whopping 80 years since the Botanic Gardens have had a blooming corpse flower on its premises. The flower takes seven to 10 years to bloom! You can't smell the putridness through your screen, unfortunately, so if you're curious to know the smell of death, go to the Botanic Gardens in the Bronx. They'll be open Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. for people who want to seize the smelliness of life!
