Major Delays As Subway Hit By Multiple Problems
A track fire, a person on the tracks and mechanical problems were among the issues.

NEW YORK CITY – The subway was hit by major delays and suspensions on several lines Thursday evening as the service dealt with a track fire, a person on the tracks, mechanical problems and a sick passenger, the MTA said.
Among the snarled lines were the B, D, 2, 5, A, C, E, F, M, N, Q, R and W trains. All had significant delays as of 6:30 p.m., the MTA said.
The track fire was at New Utrecht Av. in Brooklyn and caused a partial suspension of the N service. The MTA said the fire had been put out and service had resumed, with delays, as of 6:50 p.m.
