NEW YORK CITY — Actor Jonathan Majors will stand trial Nov. 29 for a high-profile domestic assault case in New York City, officials said.

Majors, famed for his role as the villainous Kang in Marvel movies and television shows, appeared in a Manhattan courtroom Wednesday by a Zoom to learn the future of his case, Variety reported.

"We look forward to presenting our case at trial," a spokesperson for the Manhattan District Attorney's office said in a statement.

Majors and his attorneys have contended he's innocent and that, in fact, he was assaulted by his ex-girlfriend during a March 25 incident that led to his arrest.

Several women and coworkers have also gone public with accusations of abusive behavior by Majors, notably in a Rolling Stone report.
