Mayor Adams Approval Rating Hits Record Low, New Poll Finds
Quinnipiac University conducted the poll from Feb. 27 to March 3 and spoke to 1,260 registered NYC voters.

NEW YORK CITY — Mayor Eric Adams' approval rating is at a record low while New Yorkers view Ex-Gov. Andrew Cuomo as the favorite in the mayoral race, according to a recently released Quinnipiac University poll.
A record-low 20 percent of New York City voters approve of the way Adams is handling his job as mayor, according to the poll.
67 percent of voters disapprove of Adams, and 13 percent did not offer an opinion.

In addition, 78 percent of Democrats, 63 percent of independents and 52 percent of Republicans disapprove of the way Adams is handling his job.
The latest poll results marks the lowest job approval rating of any New York City mayor in the nearly 30 years since Quinnipiac University began polling New York City registered voters.

Other findings include, if the Democratic primary for mayor were being held now, Cuomo would be leading the field with 31 percent support vs. Adams who would get 11 percent.
Queens Assemblymember Zohran Mamdani received 8 percent, Public Advocate Jumaane Williams got 7 percent, former City Comptroller Scott Stringer came in with 6 percent and current City Comptroller Brad Lander received 5 percent.
Notably, 56 percent of voters said Adams should resign as mayor, according to the poll.
Adams' previous low in approval ratings was 28 percent in a December Quinnipiac poll.
