NEW YORK CITY — New York City's first baby of 2024 is a chip off his father's block and doc.

The unnamed boy — who weighs 7 pounds, 12.5 ounces and measures 21 inches — was born at the stroke of midnight on New Year's Day in a Coney Island hospital, city health officials said.

The tyke was not only born in the same hospital as his father, Rafael Abitbul, but also was delivered by the exact same doctor as Abitbul 23 years ago, officials said.
