Missing NYC Woman Found Dead In Suitcase: Police

NEW YORK CITY — The body of a missing 26-year-old woman was found stuffed in a suitcase in Yonkers on Thursday, according to police and reports.
Pamela Alcantara was last seen in her Morris Avenue building in the Bronx on Sunday before disappearing, police said

Her family told News 12 that Alcantara was supposed to be at a church service on Sunday, but never showed up.
The 26-year-old's body was found in a suitcase off the Saw Mill River Parkway in Yonkers around 9:50 a.m., according to multiple media reports.

Surveillance footage obtained by News 12 shows Alcantara walking into an elevator inside the building, but it never shows her walk outside.
The 26-year-old's ex-boyfriend has been arrested after a license plate reader caught his car near where her body was found, the New York Post reported.
The man and Alcantara at one point shared an apartment inside the Bronx building. The family disclosed that the 26-year-old had plans of moving out.
Charges were pending against the ex-boyfriend as of Friday morning.
