MTA Delays: 8 Lines Stalled Monday Morning

Eight subway lines were delayed during rush hour Monday morning, according to the MTA.

NEW YORK CITY — Eight subway lines saw delays during Monday morning rush hour, according to the MTA.

New York City straphangers saw long waits on the 1, 2, A, C, E, J, M and Z lines as transit workers scrambled to make mechanical fixes, said MTA officials.

Northbound 1 trains were stalled by a train with doors problems at 168th Street in Manhattan about 8:25 a.m., said the MTA.

A broken down train at Hoyt-Schermerhorn in Brooklyn delayed northbound A and C trains about the same time, transit officials said.

A straphanger who needed medical help at Court Square-23rd Street spurred delays on southbound E and M trains, officials said.

Broad St-bound J and Z trains were delayed by a train with a door problems at Chambers St. just before 8:25 a.m., said officials.

And a dirty 2 train stalled the northbound line after a car was removed from Flatbush Avenue-Brooklyn College about 8:20 a.m., according to the MTA.
