New York City School Closings, Delays For Feb. 10 After Snowstorm

NYC Schools officials have announced that all campuses will be open as usual on Friday, Feb. 10, the day after a big snowstorm hit the city.

NEW YORK, NY — The big question Thursday night was: Will any schools in New York City be closed on Friday, the day after a snowstorm dumped several inches of snow on the city and all public and private schools got a Snow Day?

Just after 6 p.m. Thursday, city officials announced all public schools and after-school programs would be open as usual Friday.

At least one private school — the all-girls Brearley School on the Upper East Side — announced Thursday evening that its campus would likewise be open Friday. The rest of the city's private schools were expected to follow suit.
