NYC Subway Delays: 9 Lines Snarled During Snowy Rush Hour
Delays and service changes affected the G, E, F, M, Q, R, 4, 6 and 7 lines Friday morning.

NEW YORK — Delays and service changes snarled commutes on nine subway lines during a snowy Friday morning rush hour. The E, F, M, Q, R and 7 lines were all affected after a train fatally hit a person at Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Avenue in Queens, the MTA said.
G train service was separately halted between Court Square and Bedford-Nostrand after a train's brakes were activated near Nassau Avenue, the MTA said. Service had resumed with "extensive delays" just after 8:20 a.m., according to New York City Transit.
The incident in Queens halted M trains between Essex Street and Forest Hills-71st Avenue, forced some Manhattan-bound express 7 trains to run local and created other service changes, according to the transit agency.

Normal service resumed just before 9 a.m., but the MTA still warned of delays on the E, F, M and R lines while it cleared train congestion.
Addtionally, Woodlawn-bound 4 trains were running slowly because of a signal problem at Mosholu Parkway, the MTA said. And a train with door problems forced southbound 6 trains had to run express from Pelham Bay Park to Parkchester, leading the agency to warn of delays in both directions.
