NYC Subway Delays, Changes Abound Monday Afternoon

The NYC subway system has been a mess since the Monday morning commute.

NEW YORK, NY — Changes and delays on New York City subways were rampant during this morning's commute and have continued into the afternoon. Riders on several lines will need to alter their plans or give themselves extra travel time on this Monday morning.

Due to an earlier incident at 14th Street, C and E train service has resumed with delays.

Due to a rail condition at Queensboro Plaza, there is no W train service in both directions between Astoria Ditmars Blvd and Whitehall St. Customers are advised to use N, Q or R train service instead.

Following an earlier incident at 57 St-7 Av, N, Q and R train service has resumed with delays. A Patch reporter riding the R train Monday afternoon heard a conductor say that, "We are experiencing extreme, extreme delays."
