NYC Commute: Subway Delays, Bus Changes And Slushy Streets After Snowstorm

Here's the latest on the Wednesday commute.

NEW YORK, NY — Subway service was snarled, buses were delayed and a combination of ice and slush made or a particularly miserable trek to work and school a day after a snowstorm dumped as many as eight inches of snow on the city.

Express train service was restored by the MTA at 7 a.m. Wednesday morning, but several lines were either delayed or running with modified service during much of the commute. Riders shared photos of their misery.

Icy platforms were also an issue for some riders:

The Staten Island Ferry was running normally, but the East River ferry reported delays. Most bus lines were also running with delays or limited service.

Citi bikes were completely shut down.
