NYC Weather: 2 Inches Of Heavy Rain, Strong Winds Will Cap Weekend
A pleasant not-so-wintry weekend in New York City could end with blustery downpours, forecasters warn.
NEW YORK CITY — Snow has left New York City's winter weekend forecast — only to be replaced by heavy rain and strong winds.
Up to 2.5 inches of heavy rain could fall late Sunday into early Monday, according to the National Weather Service.
"Sustained winds of 25 to 35 mph with gusts of 45 to 50 mph possible along the coast Sunday evening into early Monday morning," a National Weather Service briefing states.

The potential blustery soaker is part of a larger front expected to bring similar weather to New Jersey and Connecticut.
