NYC Weather: Freezing Temps Return Over The Weekend
Saturday could bring frigid wind chills as cold as 11 degrees.

NEW YORK — Time to get those scarves back out. Freezing temperatures will return to New York City over the weekend after a balmy and wet Thursday, the National Weather Service says.
Friday will be partly sunny with a seasonable high near 38 degrees, though wind chill values will dip into the 20s with gusts as strong as 28 MPH possible, according to the weather service.
The air will get more frigid Saturday with a sub-freezing high near 31 and morning wind chills as cold as 11 degrees in Central Park, the forecast shows.

The cold will mark a sharp contrast from Thursday, when the mercury reached 59 degrees in Central Park and more than an inch of rain fell, according to the weather service. That's more than 20 degrees above the normal high for that day.

Sunday will be partly sunny and warmer with a high near 42 degrees, though the temperature will drop to a low around 29 that night, the weather service says. A chance of snow will loom early in the week, according to the forecast.
