NYC Weather: Hazardous Outlook Issued For Scary Halloween
There are no plans to postpone New York's famous Halloween parade.

NEW YORK – Trick or treating will be frightful as the National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook warning of 60 mph winds and drenching thunderstorms Thursday.
Up to a quarter of an inch of rain is expected to fall on New York City through the daytime, with another three quarters of an inch expected during the night.
But meteorologists main concern is with wind.

"There is a marginal risk of severe weather with the main threat being from damaging wind gusts," the service said
Though Halloween is being postponed in some Northeastern towns, there have been no plans made to change the holiday in New York City. Greenwich Village's massive Halloween parade is expected to proceed as planned.

Showers. Patchy fog. High near 72. South wind 10 to 16 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Showers likely before 11pm, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm between 11pm and 4am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4am. Low around 51. Breezy, with a south wind 20 to 22 mph, with gusts as high as 43 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
There is a marginal risk of severe weather with the main threat being from damaging wind gusts up to 60 mph.

Sunny, with a high near 57. Breezy, with a west wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 31 mph.

Mostly clear, with a low around 41. Northwest wind 7 to 13 mph.
