NYC Weather: Major Storm Lingers As Thousands Without Power

A wet, windy Monday is in store for New Yorkers as the city faces multiple weather advisories.

NEW YORK CITY — A major weekend storm is going to linger in New York City, bringing more heavy rain, wind and potential flooding, forecasters said.

New York City is under multiple weather advisories Monday as thousands of city dwellers are without power, according to the National Weather Service and ConEd.

A 100 percent chance of rain faces the city for the day, as forecasters warn some of it could by heavy. The city — as part of a hazardous weather outlook — is under a flood watch and coastal flood advisory because of up to 4 inches of rain from the overall storm, National Weather Service alerts state.
