NYC Weather: Rain To Make For Slippery Friday Commutes
Close to an inch of rain is expected to soak the city by Friday evening.

NEW YORK — At least it's not snow. Soaking rain will likely create slippery conditions for New Yorkers' morning and evening commutes on Friday, the National Weather Service forecast shows.
Close to an inch of rain is expected to hit Central Park by Friday evening, with most of the showers to fall by early afternoon, according to the forecast.
The rain should largely taper off after 7 p.m. but could potentially linger into the night, the forecast shows.

An unusually warm high temperature near 57 degrees will accompany the wet weather, the weather service says. The city should dry up and get cooler over the weekend before another chance of rain looms on New Year's Eve, according to the forecast.
