NYC Weather: Rain And Sleet Set To Hit With Next Storm

NEW YORK CITY – Another storm is winding up to wallop New York City this weekend, though it should bring rain and sleet rather than snow.

Up to an inch of rain is expected to fall through Saturday, starting shortly after 7 a.m. and continuing into Sunday morning, the National Weather Service said.

It's forecast to turn to sleet around 3 a.m. Sunday, though there's no accumulation expected.

The precipitation will come to an end Sunday, leaving the rest of the day sunny, the NWS said.

Rain, mainly after 7am. High near 45. East wind 14 to 18 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.

Saturday Night
Rain before 3am, then a chance of rain and sleet. Low around 37. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Little or no sleet accumulation expected.

Sunday
Partly sunny, with a high near 44.
