NYC Weather: Rainy Week Threatens Halloween Washout
The rain starts Monday night, with a flood advisory in place Tuesday morning.
NEW YORK – Hopefully your Halloween costume is rainproof. A sunny Monday will start a damp week which includes a flood advisory Tuesday and a spooky holiday that threatens to be washed out.
The rain is expected to start Monday night, with little let up before the weekend.
The National Weather Service expects water levels near river to rise by a foot over ground level Tuesday morning, with a coastal flood advisory in place between 8 a.m. and noon. "Some roads and low lying properties including parking lots, parks, lawns and homes and businesses with basements near the waterfront will experience shallow flooding," the service warns.

Halloween evening has an 80 percent chance of rain, the service said.
