NYC Weather: Sleet, Thunderstorm May Follow Frigid Temps
More wet weather could follow a chilly start to the work week.

NEW YORK — Overnight rain and sleet could hit New York City after a frigid Monday while a thunderstorm looms a little later in the week, the National Weather Service says.
New Yorkers should expect wind chills between 15 and 25 degrees on Monday as the mercury will only hit a high near 34, according to the weather service. The temperature will fall slightly in the evening but then creep back up as the wet weather hits, the forecast shows.
Sleet could hit between midnight and 1 a.m., but it shouldn't take long for the precipitation to turn to rain, the weather service says. About a tenth of an inch of rain is expected to hit Central Park by early Tuesday afternoon.
