NEW YORK CITY – A major winter storm will bury parts of the Northeast under a foot of snow Sunday and Monday. New York City, though, is expected to get a mere fraction of that.
Snow is likely Sunday morning, with a build up of less than an inch in the city, the National Weather Service says. But it should turn to rain after a few hours.
It could then be raining non-stop from Sunday afternoon until Monday afternoon when the rain will change back to snow. Up to two inches is possible through Monday night.
