NYC Weather: Wind Gusts Up To 32 MPH As Rain Lingers

Miserable weather isn't done with New York City Monday.

NEW YORK CITY — Lousy weather is sticking around New York City for a bit longer.

Breezy conditions, along with a chance of rain and showers, will greet New Yorkers as their weeks begin Monday, according to the National Weather Service's forecast.

Wind gusts as high as 32 mph are predicted.

"Chance of precipitation is 80%," the forecast states.

The good news weatherwise is the dreary damp that descended upon the city Sunday and carried into Monday morning is expected to clear up.

A chance of showers only lasts until 1 p.m. and conditions will become mostly clear by the evening, the forecast states. Indeed, skies are predicted to be sunny into the weekend.

High and low temperatures, however, will be in the 40s and 30s throughout the week, respectively, according to the forecast.

Rain before 10am, then a slight chance of showers between 10am and 1pm. High near 45. Breezy, with a northwest wind 17 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 32 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.
