NYC Weekend Weather: Rain Returns After Summery Saturday

Looks like sunny weather Saturday might not be enough to stop the city's eighth-straight rainy weekend, forecaster say.

NEW YORK CITY — Don't let Saturday's summery weather deceive you, New Yorkers — rain is on tap for the eighth-straight weekend.

But expected showers likely will come toward the tail end of Sunday, meaning the weekend won't be a complete washout, according to the National Weather Service's forecast.

And, on the literal bright side, Saturday is predicted to be downright gorgeous.

Temperatures will drop after Saturday and reach lows near 43 degrees by Monday, the forecast states.

The city likely won't see temperatures drop to the freezing mark next week, but conditions could vary wildly, AccuWeather reported.

"A roller-coaster pattern of temperatures is not entirely out of the ordinary during October," said AccuWeather senior meteorologist David Dombek in a report by the service.
