NYC's First Great Flood of Summer 2016 Ends in Perfect Double Rainbow Sunset

It was enough to make us wonder: Did the storm ever really happen at all?

NEW YORK, NY — After an hour or two of all-out flash-flood chaos across the five boroughs Monday evening, as documented by a smartphone army of millions, the thunderclouds parted and the sun began to sink behind the sea and the clouds turned ridiculous colors and, uh, a perfect double rainbow sunset formed over New York City.

And once again, as if on duty, the people of the city lifted their smartphones to the sky.
