NYPD Lieutenant Beaten By Knife-Wielding Men On Subway: Reports
The cop was taken to a Bronx hospital in stable condition while officers arrested two 24-year-olds behind the attack, according to reports.

NEW YORK CITY — An NYPD lieutenant was beaten by two knife-wielding men on a Bronx subway train, according to reports.
The cop responded to a call about two groups of men with knives fighting on a Bronx-bound 1 train Saturday about 9:45 p.m., the New York Daily News first reported.
One group left before the lieutenant hopped on at the 238th Street station and told the remaining people to leave, the report states. Two men refused and ended up repeatedly punching the cop, who managed to scare them off when he drew his gun, according to the report.

Cops later arrested the two men, both 24 years old, after they ran off down the tracks, the Daily News reported.
The lieutenant went to a Bronx hospital for treatment for cuts and swelling on his face, the report states.
