NYPD Monitors London Bridge Attacks, Says No NYC Threat
The NYPD is keeping close tabs on a London Bridge incident, which officials are investigating as though it were a terrorist attack.

NEW YORK CITY — The NYPD is keeping a close eye on what might have been a terrorist attack on the London Bridge but say New York City does not currently face any threat.
New York City police are closely monitoring the stabbing and shooting incident — which Metropolitan Police are investigating as though it were a terrorist attack — which erupted in London just before 2 p.m. Friday, officials said.
NYPD reports there are no specific or credible threats in New York City after the London incident when, according to Metropolitan Police, "a number of people" were stabbed and one man shot by an officer.

This would not be the London Bridge's first terrorist attack. Islamic State-inspired attackers fatally ran over two people and stabbed several others in June 2017.
