Man Fatally Struck By Box Truck In Manhattan: Police

NEW YORK CITY — A man was fatally struck by a box truck in Manhattan over the weekend, police said on Monday.
The incident happened on Friday at West 40 Street and 9 Avenue in Hell's Kitchen.
Police determined that a box truck, operated by a 75-year-old man, was traveling southbound on 9 Avenue when the vehicle collided with the victim, who was sitting in the roadway.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The driver of the box truck remained on scene and was not injured.
