The former federal prosecutor is starting his own podcast, called "Stay Tuned With Preet."

NEW YORK, NY — Preet Bharara is jumping in on the podcast craze.
The former federal prosecutor will launch his own podcast, WNYC Studios announced on Monday.
The weekly podcast, titled "Stay Tuned With Preet," will focus "on issues of justice and fairness," according to a statement from the producers. The segment will be produced with podcast-powerhouse WNYC Studios as well as Some Spider Studios, run by Bharara's brother Vinit. "I’m really looking forward to Preet launching his podcast and sharing with the world his unique insights about justice and fairness — especially at a time when those two issues are at stake," Vinit Bharara said in a statement.
Bharara served for seven years as the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, which covers Manhattan, before he was abruptly fired by President Donald Trump in March. Although new presidents frequently replace federal prosecutors with their own appointees, Bharara had previously told reporters that Trump assured him his job was safe in November. Since leaving the public sector, Bharara has joined the law school at New York University as a distinguished scholar. Bharara has also become a frequent commentator on the Trump administration on Twitter, where he frequently weights in on the developments of special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.
