Suspect Charged With Murder In Double Stabbing That Killed Mother
The 57-year-old victim was transported to Lincoln Hospital, where she later pronounced dead.
NEW YORK CITY — A 47-year-old man has been arrested and charged with murder in connection to a fatal stabbing that killed a mother and injured another woman inside a New York City apartment, police said.
Ramon Reyes has been charged with first and second-degree murder, attempted murder, burglary, endangering the welfare of a child and criminal possession of a weapon. The 47-year-old was taken into custody on Monday.
The stabbing incident happened around 7 a.m. inside a building near Park Avenue and East 161st Street in the Bronx, Patch previously reported.

Police at the scene found a 40-year-old woman, believed to be Reyes' ex-girlfriend, with multiple stab wounds in the body. Her mother, identified as, Rosemary Tapia-Bautista, 57, sustained stab wounds to the chest.
