Teen Shot And Killed After Getting Off MTA Bus: Police

The teen was transported to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

NEW YORK CITY — A 16-year-old boy was fatally shot after getting off a New York City bus on Wednesday, police said.

Police responded to 171-42 Liberty Ave. in Queens around 2:40 p.m. and found the boy unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the torso.

The teen was transported to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead, police said.

The 16-year-old may have gotten off an MTA bus nearby and got into a dispute with an unknown individual, who shot him, according to multiple media reports.

A suspect was last seen wearing a black vest, gray sweatshirt, sweatpants and a black backpack, police said.
