Weekend Weather NYC: Hazardous Snow Could Hit Sunday Night
Forecasters issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Sunday and Monday, when they predict New York will be hit with snow, rain and snow again.

NEW YORK CITY — Snow and rain predicted to hit the city this weekend could make a mess of city streets for Monday commuters.
National Weather Service Friday issued a hazardous weather outlook for New York as a low pressure system moved toward the city.
While Friday and Saturday will be sunny with highs in the mid 40s, Sunday is predicted to see snow in the morning which will become rain in the afternoon and then could turn back into snow Monday.

"This may result in messy travel conditions for the Sunday afternoon/evening and Monday afternoon/evening timeframe," the NWS's forecast warns.

A chance of snow and sleet before 10am, then rain, snow, and sleet between 10am and 1pm, then rain after 1pm. High near 41. East wind 8 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow and sleet accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Rain. Low around 39. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Monday
Rain before 1pm, then rain and snow likely. High near 39. Chance of precipitation is 80%.
