NEW YORK CITY — Wendy Williams called into a New York City daytime news show a day after being taken to the hospital and had to pass a mental capacity test on Monday.

In an interview with anchor Rosanna Scotto, Williams disclosed that she was evaluated for mental acuity and had passed.

“I passed with flying colors,” Williams told the FOX5 New York anchor. “I want [to be] independently tested. That’s what I want, and that’s what I got.”

Police and EMS responded to an assisted living facility in Hudson Yards following a call for a wellness check.

Williams has been confined to the memory ward of the facility, as she has been in the midst of a court-ordered guardianship since 2022.

The former daytime talk show host told Scott that "under these circumstances, there are certain people that I don’t care to talk to or talk about."

The NYPD on Monday said that the incident is not under further investigation and is being viewed as a standard call for service.
