A woman falsely claimed she had a bomb inside Jacob K. Javits Federal Building Tuesday morning, authorities said.

NEW YORK CITY — A woman's bogus claim she had a bomb briefly sparked a scare in a major New York City federal building, police said.
NYPD officers blocked off the streets around 26 Federal Plaza, also known as the Jacob K. Javits Federal Building, Tuesday morning, according to a tweet.
Police officials didn't have many details, but told Patch a woman said she had a bomb inside the building about 10:35 a.m.
