NEW CITY, NY — A wrong-way crash in Rockland County left an Ohio man dead and two teens seriously injured.
The Clarkstown Police Department says it responded to a two-vehicle accident in New City on Monday night, around 9:15 p.m., near the intersection of Route 304 and Second Street.
Their preliminary investigation found that the driver and only occupant of a 2010 black Hyundai sedan, a 35-year-old man from Ohio, turned onto Route 304, traveling north in the southbound lanes.

The Hyundai then collided head-on with a 2013 silver BMW which had been traveling south. The BMW had an 18-year-old male driver and a 16-year-old female front seat passenger.
Police say the force of the collision sent the Hyundai into the center median, while the BMW was forced onto the shoulder of the southbound lanes.
