$25K In Stolen Property Recovered From Home Burglary, 2 Arrested: Police
The owner, who had been away, returned home on Christmas Day to find that he had been robbed, according to Spring Valley police.
SPRING VALLEY, NY — These Grinches may have tried to steal Christmas, but police say they have cracked the case.
On Dec. 25, the Spring Valley Police Department was called to a home on Wolfe Drive for a report of a burglary. Officers spoke with the victim, who reported that his home had been forcibly entered while he was not home, and approximately $25,000 worth of property was stolen.
The Spring Valley Detective Bureau identified and arrested two suspects on Jan. 4. The suspects were identified as 46-year-old Marvin Lorenzo-Hernandez, of Ramapo, and 37-year-old Anderson Martinez-Ruano, of Spring Valley.

The victim's stolen property was recovered during the investigation.
Both suspects were charged with felony burglary, felony criminal possession of stolen property, grand larceny, and criminal mischief.

Lorenzo-Hernandez and Martinez-Ruano were arraigned in the Spring Valley Justice Court, and were released on their own recognizance.
The Spring Valley Police Department thanked the Ramapo Police Department and the Rockland County Sheriff's Office BCI for their assistance in solving the case.
