Clarkstown Reminds Residents Of Cooling Centers For Thursday, Friday

However, the community centers are closed Wednesday for the Juneteenth holiday, town officials said.

CLARKSTOWN, NY — With the heat advisory in effect for the next few days, Clarkstown town officials reminded residents that while they cannot go to community centers on Wednesday, they may do so on Thursday and Friday.

Residents can also utilize the town's pool facilities during normal hours and at normal rates, town officials said.

Tuesday to Friday, 10am - 8:45pm
Saturday 10am to 5:45pm

On Wednesday, Clarkstown Town Hall will be open from noon to 8 p.m. at 10 Maple Ave., New City. Germonds Pool will be open from noon to 7:45 p.m., town officials said.

Town officials encouraged residents to make a special effort to check on family, friends, and neighbors who do not have air conditioning, and who spend much of their time alone; especially seniors, young children, and people with special needs.
