Heavy Rain, Gusty Winds Headed For The Hudson Valley
First, southern Westchester will be under a coastal flood advisory overnight. Next, hazardous outlooks have been issued across the region.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Strong gusty winds and a period of moderate to heavy rain is likely
Thursday night into early Friday morning in the Hudson Valley, the National Weather Service said.
First, though, southern Westchester is under a coastal flood advisory from 11 p.m. Wednesday to 3 a.m. Thursday. Minor flooding is expected in the more vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline. Some roads and low-lying properties including parking lots, parks, lawns, and homes and businesses with basements near the waterfront will experience minor flooding.
If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property.

Then Thursday into Friday, the combination of rain and snowmelt in areas where snow remains in Dutchess and Ulster counties may result in some flooding of urban, low-lying, or other flood-prone areas. Rises on area rivers is likely. The strongest winds are expected Thursday night into early Friday morning across the eastern Catskills, Taconics, Berkshires, and Litchfield Hills.
Hazardous outlooks have also been issued for Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties for heavy rain and strong winds. Some thunderstorms are possible.
